Sarah Salkeld

Hi, I’m Sarah Salkeld, Mum of three grown up children and a twelve year old. I work as a teacher and SENCO in a small private school, which educates children from ages 5 to 16.

I have 13 years of teaching experience at secondary level but I have also had experience of teaching at primary level too. I currently teach GCSE Biology, KS3 Maths and foundation GCSE Maths. As we have a high proportion of SEN pupils in our school, I have lots of  experience of teaching children with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD and Autism.  Having qualified as a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor at level 4, in May 2026, I have started tutoring pupils with Dyslexia.

I really enjoy the challenge of helping pupils find out how they learn best and love the reward of seeing learning made easier for them. I aim to make learning fun through games and activities, and increase my pupil’s confidence as they realise how much they can achieve.
